How the 13th salary is taxed

The 13th (and 14th) salary is part of your annual gross and is taxed exactly like the rest of your pay — there is no separate bonus-tax rate in Cyprus. Income tax is progressive and worked out on your total yearly income, so the extra month is taxed at your marginal band, with Social Insurance (8.8%) and GESY (2.65%) applied too, subject to their annual caps. This calculator computes the annual totals and divides the net across your chosen number of payments, so the "13th salary, net" figure is one payment's worth of take-home.

12, 13 or 14 — what actually changes

If your monthly gross is fixed, adding a 13th or 14th raises your annual total, so you owe more tax overall but keep more in absolute terms. Switch between 12, 13 and 14 above to see how each affects your annual net and the size of each cheque.
